Early childhood hood program is one of program that is initiated by Fondazione Marcegaglia Onlus Rwanda in the category of Child Protection Program with the goal to protect and ensure that 123,587 children and young adolescents from poorest families have basic support to grow properly to at least finished 12 years basic education as provided in the government of Rwanda strategy for transformation towards SDGs achievement.
Early childhood Development has 19755 children that are under 5 years to be served in 21 Early Childhood Development centers and 15 model village kitchens.
Community ECDs Establish and Empowerment
3600 children and 90 caregivers 4 new Community ECDs (nursery schools ) to be constructed, 3 existing rehabilitated and 3600 children to be enrolled in 21 ECDs with 90 trained caregivers and appropriate nursery equipment’s and nutrition.
Stunting and Malnutrition control
705 children will get weekly food package to stunted growth children caused by malnutrition to more than 600 children and treatment of chronic stunting due to other health issues to more than 105 children
