What Is Marcegaglia Vocational Training Center(MVTC) ?
The Marcegaglia Vocational Training Center (MVTC) is a technical school by Fondazione Marcegaglia Onlus (FMO) aimed at empowering young individuals and reducing school dropout rates in Rwanda.
The MVTC is located in the Rilima area of the Bugesera district, and it offers training in seven trades:
- Welding,
- Hair dressing,
- Tailoring,
- Multimedia,
- Masonry.
These skills are essential for self-employment and contribute to the country’s development, aligning with Rwanda’s Vision 2020 and 2050 goals, The MVTC program is part of FMO’s Technical and Vocational Educational Training (TVET) initiative, which equips youth from various parts of Bugesera with essential skills
By providing young people with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the workforce, the MVTC program contributes to Rwanda’s development and supports the country’s vision for the future.
The MVTC school is also accredited by Rwanda TVET Board (RTB) in order to provide the short courses mentioned above and certification of the courses.
